Vintage Galaxy

This is a galaxy generator that I cobbled together from old code I had from a project I was working on in 2016 in Unity3D, In those days I was obsessed with the game "FTL: Faster Than Light" and wanted to make something similar and this code was for a galaxy map in that game which I abandoned because I wasn't quite sure which direction to take it at the time. Maybe I'll revisit the game idea at some point.

But anyways, this project was made for "PROCJAM 2024" which had the theme "Vintage" which is why I added a retro CRT effect to the whole thing, and why the project is called "Vintage Galaxy".

You can adjust some of the parameters of the galaxy generator at the bottom of the screen, and rotate around the midpoint of the galaxy by holding any of the 3 main mouse buttons and dragging the mouse around. 

You can also zoom in and out and you might notice a black hole effect when you zoom in far enough.

I was thinking of adding a way to select stars and maybe enter their systems to view planets etc. but I might save that for another day.

If the web version is laggy, maybe give the builds a shot instead.
